Daphné Chenel’s upcoming album « Les contours » marks a new chapter in her artistic journey. Composed of 10 original songs, the record moves towards a more folk-oriented and organic sound, blending intimate songwriting, acoustic instrumentation and ethereal arrangements.

The first single, “Lisbonne”, will be released in September, followed by “Não Te Quero Magoar” in October, a collaboration with Portuguese singer-songwriter Marta Lima.

The album will be officially released in November 6th, with a release party at Lisbon’s iconic Casa Capitão on November 7th.

The release will be followed by a 10-date tour across FNAC Portugal, with shows taking place every weekend throughout November and December.

DAPHNÉ CHENEL

Daphné Chenel is a French singer-songwriter based in Lisbon. Drawing from folk, indie pop and French chanson, her music blends intimate songwriting with organic textures and ethereal arrangements, creating a sound that feels both delicate and deeply rooted in live performance.

After studying music in Paris, Daphné moved to Lisbon, where she began her musical career playing in piano bars before becoming part of the city’s emerging independent music scene. She released her debut EP, Mue, in 2023, which she presented at venues including Maus Hábitos, Cossoul and Fábrica Braço de Prata, as well as through Sofar Sounds sessions in Lisbon and Porto.

In 2024, she travelled extensively across Europe while writing her next project, performing in countries including Portugal, France, the Netherlands, the UK, Sweden and Germany. She returned to Lisbon in 2025 to release the singles Près des Fleurs and Le Temps d’une Averse, followed by tours across Portugal and the UK. Her live performances have included opening slots for Léo Middea at Le Badaboum in Paris and Anna B Savage at Lisbon’s renowned Galeria Zé dos Bois (ZDB), as well as performances at Bota in Lisbon and Half Moon in London.

Fully independent, Daphné currently reaches around 5,000 monthly listeners on streaming platforms, with a growing audience notably across Lisbon, Paris and Montréal.

Her upcoming album, due in autumn 2026, marks a new chapter in her artistic direction, embracing a more folk-oriented sound with organic instrumentation, stripped-back arrangements and an ethereal atmosphere. She will preview the new material throughout a European festival tour in summer 2026, including appearances at Portuguese festivals such as Termómetro and OutJazz, as well as a 10-date tour across France. 

She will celebrate the album release with a special show at Casa Capitão in Lisbon on November 7, 2026.
